Career Counselling

At Aquaviva Hybrid School, career counselling is an integral part of preparing our JHS learners for senior high school and the world of work. Through class sessions, one‑on‑one conversations and carefully planned career days, we help pupils understand how their God‑given gifts, interests and academic strengths can shape their future pathways.

Our counselling team works closely with teachers and parents to guide learners as they explore different professions, technical and vocational options, and entrepreneurial opportunities in Ghana and beyond. We emphasise good character, Christian values and digital skills so that our graduates are not only employable, but also responsible and purpose‑driven.

Counselling activities encompass the following :

• Helping students to identify their areas of interest, strengths and aptitude from upper primary through JHS 3.
• Guiding students and parents on subject choices and SHS pathways, including TVET, science, business and arts programmes.
• Providing updated information about various institutions, courses and careers in Ghana and abroad, using talks, career days and invited professionals.
• Giving sustained support in application and transition processes, including documentation, recommendation letters and preparation for interviews or entrance exams.
• Offering personal guidance to learners who are unsure about their future options, helping them set realistic goals and action plans.
• Building essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership and time management that are needed in any career field.
